Cut your energy bill by up to 75%.
Heating, cooling and hot water powered by the air around you, the sun above you, and thermal batteries grown from Philippine coconut. Natural refrigerant heat pumps engineered to European standards. Manufactured and supported in Pangasinan.
Our fuel surrounds us. Our thermal batteries grow amongst us.
The Philippines has the climate the rest of the world wishes for. Five and a half hours of sunshine, every day, all year. Ambient air at 28–35°C — the temperature at which a heat pump delivers a Coefficient of Performance above 4.0. Coconut groves across Luzon supplying the lauric acid that becomes our thermal storage medium. The technology to harvest all of this is here. We make it.
The fuel for heating is the air
Heat pumps extract heat from ambient air and concentrate it into hot water, process heat or cooling. In the tropical Philippines the air is already warm — the work the heat pump has to do is minimal. That is why R290 systems deliver COP 4.0–5.0 in real Philippine conditions, while the same equipment in Europe struggles below COP 3.0 in winter. Tropical climate, premium efficiency.
The fuel for power is the sun
Most Filipino businesses have been sold solar that covers only 20% of their bill. That is not a regulatory cap — it is what solar gives you without storage. Net metering (where you sell excess back to Meralco) was raised to 1 MW in April 2026. And if your solar only feeds your own site, never exporting to the grid (Meralco calls this Zero Export), there is no cap at all. Karnot iVOLT pairs our solar inverters and batteries with our heat pumps and thermal storage to take you behind the meter — banking solar by day, delivering heating, cooling and hot water against your real demand. We do not sell solar. We sell the missing piece that lets your solar actually work.
The thermal batteries grow amongst us
Karnot FLX is the world's first coconut-based PCM thermal battery. Lauric acid sourced from Philippine coconut, engineered into a Phase Change Material that stores heating and cooling at high density — without rare-earth metals, without lithium scarcity, without imported chemistry. Local materials. Local manufacturing. Local jobs.
Heat pumps are not new. Solar is not new. Thermal storage is not new. What is new is putting them together as a Philippine-sourced, Philippine-engineered solution — sized to your load, behind your meter, with the materials growing in the next province. That is what Karnot builds.
The world is choosing sides. We have chosen.
Half the world is doubling down on fossil fuels, F-gas refrigerants and the industrial chemistry of the past. The other half — Europe, China, the smart Asian economies — is building the renewable, natural-refrigerant, behind-the-meter future. Karnot is firmly on that side. R290 propane and CO₂ for heating and cooling. Solar and storage for power. Locally-sourced coconut PCM for thermal capacity. Engineered to EN 378 and IEC 60335-2-40, manufactured and supported in Pangasinan.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much can I save with a Karnot heat pump?
Most commercial customers save 60-75% on thermal energy costs compared to electric resistance heaters, diesel boilers, or LPG systems. Actual savings depend on your current energy source, usage volume, and local electricity rates. Use our savings calculator for a personalised estimate.
What is an R290 heat pump?
An R290 heat pump uses propane as a natural refrigerant to transfer heat from the air to water. R290 has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3 — over 700x lower than legacy HFC refrigerants — and achieves COP ratings of 4.0-5.0.
What are natural refrigerants?
Natural refrigerants include R290 (propane) and CO₂ (R744). They have near-zero global warming potential, are not affected by PFAS bans or HFC phase-downs, and deliver superior efficiency with COP ratings of 4.0-5.0.
What is the difference between R290 and CO₂ refrigerants?
R290 (propane) has a GWP of 3 and excels in heating applications with COP 4.0-5.0. CO₂ (R744) has a GWP of 1, is non-flammable, and is ideal for refrigeration and cooling down to -40°C. Both are natural, PFAS-free, and future-proof against regulatory changes.
Is R290 refrigerant safe?
Yes. R290 (propane) is classified as non-toxic with an A3 safety rating. Modern R290 heat pumps use very small refrigerant charges (under 1kg) in sealed outdoor units, meeting all international safety standards including IEC 60335-2-40.
What does COP mean?
COP stands for Coefficient of Performance. A COP of 4.0 means for every 1 kW of electricity consumed, the heat pump produces 4 kW of heat. Higher COP means greater efficiency and lower running costs. Karnot iHEAT systems achieve COP 4.0-5.0.
Does Karnot offer zero upfront cost installation?
Yes. Karnot offers an Energy as a Service (EaaS) model where we install and maintain the heat pump system at no upfront cost. You simply pay a lower monthly energy bill — typically 60-75% less than your current costs.
Where does Karnot operate?
